His Excellency also explained that the free trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries carries great importance at the economic and political levels, as it works to provide a clear and unified legal framework for trade exchange between the signatory countries that contributes to increasing the volume of trade and diversifying its fields, as well as providing opportunities for companies, products and services to access new markets in the member countries, which contributes to achieving sustainable economic growth, in addition to encouraging joint investments and capital exchange between member states and the United Kingdom. In supporting economic activity and creating jobs, and strengthening economic cooperation between the UK and the GCC countries supports bilateral relations and deepens mutual understanding, indicating that the agreement represents an opportunity to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the United Kingdom and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which contributes to achieving economic benefits and sustainable development for all.
